It takes about 1000 rose petals to yield 1 ounce of rose essential oil. Each of them needs to be picked as they are unfolding at 4am -5am before the dawn.

Traditional process. 

We use traditional method of distillation which preserves most of the nutrients and vitamins. Moroccan Roses grow slower due to the desert climate but yields the highest mineral concentration.

Kelaa-des-Mgoun Rose Festival is the most famous rose festival in Morocco. It's held in May each year in Kelaa-des-Mgoun, the rose valley. There are 4,200 kilometers of rose hedges, and all of this has the capacity of only 200 litre of rose oil.
